Fascial Stretch Therapy

Recovery | Pain Relief | Performance

(FST) is a dynamic and effective form of assisted stretch therapy that can increase your flexibility, reduce aches and pains, improve your range of motion, workouts, and athletic performance.

FST targets fascia, the most prevalent tissue in the body which is also full of nerves. Fascia is found around muscles, joints, arteries, veins, the brain, and the spinal cord. FST helps reduce pressure and release stored stress in the fascia, improving circulation and flexibility while boosting energy.

Why Fascial Stretch Therapy?

Don’t just stretch – get stretched, by the leader in assisted stretching in Greenville SC. No matter the age, gender, shape, or size, Fascial Stretch Therapy can help you achieve optimal strength, flexibility, pain relief and performance.

Every client at our clinic gets treated like a pro. If you sit at a desk, are a busy mom, or a weekend warrior – FST is for you. We do treat the pros – our stretch therapist works directly with local pro sports teams like the Greenville Triumph. FST is a pain-free method of stretching that provides almost instant results for the pros, and will for you too.

Communication is at the heart of our clinic – our Fascial Stretch Therapist communicates with our Greenville chiropractors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists to help you decrease pain, move better, and improve performance in your life or sport.

What makes FST unique?

FST is pain-free! FST is very different than what we think of as traditional stretching or bodywork, in that it is more functional and dynamic.

Unlike traditional stretching or bodywork that only works on muscles, FST engages the entire myofascial system by targeting muscles as well as their neighboring joints, ligaments, tendons, and bones.

What should I expect?

During an FST session, our certified therapist moves the body in undulating spiral diagonal patterns known as stretch waves, paired with traction to access the joint capsule, the deepest level of the fascia.

Athletes in an FST program recover quickly between training sessions and gain an improved active range of motion, improving performance and well-being.

How should I prepare?

Please wear or bring comfortable clothing for the session that you can move freely in, such as workout clothing. You will remain fully clothed and there is no use of massage oils or creams.

We recommend staying hydrated on the day of your session and refraining from alcohol in the hours prior to your session. FST appointments are 55 minutes in length.

FST sessions have kept me on my feet and active - biking, running, and playing tennis. Though I stretch regularly at home and spend more time on a foam roller than I'd like, the FST program has changed this dramatically. FST stretches and lengthens difficult to reach corners of the body and has helped me remain limber and ready for action! Thank you to the Upstate Spine & Sport team!
